The DOC desired to transition to an improved version of a financial reporting Commercial off the shelf (COTS) system that was more configurable to meet their proven business process and extendable so that they could integrate with other legacy systems and consolidate/reporting data from twenty-four (24) agencies to Treasury.
Sonora provided an optimized COTS solution in the client’s environment. Integration of data loads from various bureaus to the treasury financial reporting tool (Hyperion Financial Management) were redesigned. Sonora reviewed DOC’s current state documentation and updated it based on gaps identified during initial review sessions. Analysis and reviews were conducted of various COTS financial reporting systems to ensure they would be able to meet the DOC business needs. Sonora further supported the DOC in the selection of a COTS financial reporting product and ensured the new product met gaps identified in the gap analysis.

Sonora’s support resulted in effective integration between COTS components. This redesign brought about a streamlined and consistent data loading process from all the 24 agencies, resulting in more than 50% improvement in the data loading and data consolidation process.
